Panera Bread warms my heart. From town to town, it has been my favorite place to study and work.
What I love about it:
- Free coffee refills
- Free wifi
- Iced sugar cookies and cinnamon crunch bagels
- Creamy tomato soup and Black bean soup
- Outlets to plug in my devices
- MyPanera membership periodically giving free food items
- A relaxed atmosphere
- Pretty decor
The employees at Panera Bread do not rush you out. There are usually plenty of tables, and you can stay as long as you like. In my mind, coffee shops just cannot compete. Sure, Starbucks coffee tastes better. But Panera Bread’s coffee costs only $1.99 for a mug and then you can continue to get your own free refills as long as you’re there.
What makes it even greater is that at the end of each day many Panera Bread locations donate their unsold goods to charities. The company strives to be socially conscious. The CEO recently took the SNAP Challenge by trying to live off $4.50 a day, which is what many of those on food stamps must do. He did it to bring awareness to the issue of food insecurity that plagues 14.5 percent of Americans.
Thank you, Panera Bread, for being a place I can focus on my work and enjoy good food at the same time!
